Rachel is a creative learning producer and facilitator specialising in new writing, emerging artists, young people and inclusion.
With eight-plus years' experience in leading impactful and accessible engagement programmes, she is adept at managing partnerships and schools activities nationally, from R&D to delivery and evaluation and working with teachers and students to develop inclusive, curriculum-linked projects in theatre, writing and storytelling. She has produced live events, workshops, performances and festivals with organisations including the Southbank Centre, the Barbican Centre, the Old Vic, the National Literacy Trust and Audible.

Inside Stories with Audible, National Literacy Trust
A project that brings audio content creation workshops to young people in custody. Workshops cover lyric writing to poetry, podcasting to interview skills.
Tower Hamlets SLAM, Tower Hamlets Schools Library Service
The Junior and Senior SLAM has engaged children in Tower Hamlets to improve their literacy and oracy.
With funding from Samuel Butler Educational Foundation and Arts Council England, schools receive tailored CPD sessions, two-days of workshops from professional spoken word artists, and a final performance at Rich Mix. The project focuses on matching schools with Muslim poets, helping them to find successful role models from their own culture in the creative arts.
Find Your Poetry Day, Southbank Centre
The Foyle Young Poets too over the Clore Ballroom for day of workshops, performances and tours of the National Poetry Library, in collaboration with the Southbank Centre.
Inclusive Cultures, Diverse City
A four-month disabled-led professional development programme designed for cultural leaders seeking to take steps towards systemic change. Participants deepen and broaden their competence and gain the courage to contribute to inclusive culture making and disability justice. The programme draws on Inclusive Leadership theories and practice, and the lived experiences of D/deaf, disabled and neurodivergent people/communities, and uses coaching techniques to inform thinking and action.
Emerging Leaders, Clore Leadership
A week-long residential programme for to leaders in areas such as the visual and performing arts, museums, libraries, archives and heritage, film and digital media, and cultural policy and practice. The programme consists of coaching, workshops on EDI, thought leadership, as well as activities to build connection across art disciplines.
Old Vic Theatre Makers, Old Vic
A UK-wide free training programme for ages 18–30 to learn about theatre-making and shape the future of theatre.
Participants learn about contemporary theatre-making practices from leading creatives - from writing and devising to directing and producing, showcasing their skills at a scratch night in a professional venue.
Literature Weekend, National Centre for Writing
A weekend of events taking place at multiple venues across the city as part of Norfolk and Norwich Festival. Writers programmed include Inua Ellams, Ali Smith and Sarah Perry.
Foyle Young Poets of the Year Award, The Poetry Society
The Foyle Young Poets of the Year Award is one of the biggest and most prestigious poetry competitions and development programmes for 11-17 year olds in the world. Activity includes workshops, Arvon residentials, a prize ceremony (held at the National Theatre, Globe Theatre and Southbank Centre), teaching resources and poetry anthologies sent to every school and library in the UK.
